Creating a YouTube channel
To create a channel you must have a Google account. Open https://www.youtube.com/ in your browser and log in to YouTube using your Google account.
To create a channel on YouTube click on the account icon in the upper right corner and click the “Create сhannel” button in the function menu that opens.
Enter the brand account name in the field and click the “Create” button.
Channel view settings
You can upload a profile photo. To do this click the “Customize channel view” button on the top panel.
Go to the “Branding” tab. Click the “Upload” button in the “Profile photo” section and select a photo. You can also upload a banner or channel logo by clicking on the upload buttons in the sections below.
In the “Main Information” tab enter a description of the channel in the appropriate field. If necessary add a link to your website and contact information.
Account verification
Click the button with the camera and “+” at the top right of the screen. From the drop-down list select “Start broadcast”. Next you will need to go through the account verification procedure.
- select the country you are in from the drop-down list;
- below using the checkbox select the method for receiving the confirmation code: voice message or SMS.
- next enter your phone number;
- click the "Submit" button.
- enter the 6-digit code in the confirmation line;
- click on the “Submit” button;
- the window should then appear notifying you that the procedure has been completed successfully.
Live streaming access approval process
Click on the profile icon in the upper right corner and select “My channel” from the function menu that opens. Click the "Create" button and follow the "Start broadcast" link.
A 24 hour wait notification will appear.
