Convert a video to the recommended format

In the Vinteo video conferencing system it is recommended to use videos in the following format:
- the video size is no more than 512 MB;
- the video bitrate is no more than 6 Mbit/s;
- there must be an audio track. If sound is not required then leave the track silent;
- recommended video codecs: H.264 + MP3 (.MP4).
Videos of other formats may brings problems playing in a conference.
To convert video to the recommended format you can use the following instructions:
Note: after converting the video file size may increase.
- Download and install VLC media player;
- launch VLC;
- press CTRL+R or select "Convert/Save" from the "Media" menu;
- add the video to the file selection; it should appear in the list of selected files then click convert/save;
- make sure that the desired file is selected in the source; select the "Convert" setting and the Video profile - H.264 + MP3 (MP4); select where to save the final (converted) file and click "Start";
- Wait while VLC converts the file. The conversion process will be displayed in the playback time bar and the window title will be "Converting file..."
- There will be no notification about the completion of the conversion; the conversion will end when the title of the VLC window no longer says "Converting file..."
