Settings for anonymous user connections
An anonymous conference participant is an unauthorized user who is not registered on the server.
An anonymous connection can also be made via SIP and H.323 protocol and connection via a Web client or VINTEO Desktop.
The parameters of anonymous connections are configured on the "Anonymous connection" tab on the "System" -> "Settings" page.
- Select the resolution according to your requirements and the license activated on the server.
- Set the channel width in accordance with the set resolution (640x360 - 384 kbit/s, HD - 1.5 Mbit/s, FullHD - 3 Mbit/s).
- Set the number of frames per second (FPS) to 25-30, depending on the server performance and the required quality.
- We recommend turning off the H.323 Crypto switch.
- Select codecs in the fields below. The left list is available codecs, the right list is those selected for use.
First select video codecs: h264 and vp8.
H.264 is the recommended video codec, but not all clients support it, especially mobile ones, so you need to add VP8 as well.
For audio we recommend using codecs from the G722.1 family.
To do this, you need to add them in the following sequence: g7221_48_32, g7221_32_32, g7221_24_32, g7221_32, g7221_24, g7221_16.
If Cisco devices or software will be connected as anonymous devices, we recommend adding the aac_lc and aac_ld codecs.
For WebRTC anonymous clients, you need to add the opus codec.
Finally, for maximum compatibility, you need to add the G711 family codecs: alaw and ulaw. These are codecs that are used in public telephony and are supported by the maximum number of devices.
