Every time you start Vinteo Desktop connects to the https://download.vinteo.com server to check for updates. If there is an update for the current version of the program on the server the window will appear asking you to download the update.

If you click "Remind me later" this window will appear again after 10 minutes.

Launch via hyperlink

When Vinteo Desktop is installed it is registered in the system to process hyperlinks with the prefix "vinteo:". If the user clicks on the link “vinteo://1000” in any document Vinteo Desktop will launch and dial 1000.

You can create shortcuts using this functionality to launch Vinteo Desktop and quickly call a given number.

Running with turned off of GPU encoding support

In some cases you need to run the program without GPU encoding support. For example, you need to run the program on an old operating system or with outdated versions of the GPU driver.

You can launch Vinteo Desktop in this mode by adding the --disable-gpu parameter to the program launch shortcut.
