Video conferencing server "Vinteo" is a video conferencing software server and the core of the video conferencing and communications system. Vinteo video conferencing products provide more than 90% of cases compatibility with the well-known video conferencing equipments of different vendors including outdated terminals. It allows not only to build a conferencing network from scratch, but also to expand the capabilities of an existing video conferencing system of any vendor, including using web conferences.
The Vinteo server has broad capabilities and allows you to implement hybrid specialized solutions: integrate video conferencing with corporate PBX and VoIP voice gateways, provide video analytics and other services required by customers from the medical, energy, construction and government sectors.
With the help of the Vinteo Video Conferencing Server, up to 1000 participants can participate in the conference simultaneously. The server supports the progressive WebRTC technology which makes it possible to connect to a video conference using a browser directly and does not require the installation of specialized software.

Hardware requirements

When Bare-metal installing Vinteo server requires:

• SATA SSD drives (2 pcs.);
• support for Legacy/CSM boot mode;
• dual-rank RAM;
• presence of memory modules on all processor memory channels.

To ensure proper system operation with 100 or more participants simultaneously and for optimal video quality we recommend using NVidia video cards on servers.

Virtualization infrastructure requirements

We recommend installing the server on Bare-metal but if you need to use virtualization the requirements are below:

• host processors must be no worse than first generation Scalable;
• ensure reservation of allocated resources for VM;
• it is recommended to install the server as the only application on the host;
• it is necessary to leave one unused physical core for the server host;
• prohibit VM migration to other hosts;
• I/O MMU support must be enabled in the VM settings;
• the host processor must physically work with memory in the processor channel (for the first/second generation these are 6 installed strips for each processor; for the third generation these are 8 installed strips for each processor in accordance with the server manufacturer’s documentation);
• multi-channeling is critical for server operation, as the server uses the manufacturer's built-in memory-processor multi-channeling. Without multi-channeling critical loads may occur which directly impacts the quality of meetings and server performance;
• the performance of the disk subsystem must be at least 150 IOPS.
